Fiddler Everywhere blocks connection to Internet

Hi,


After following the configuration steps in https://docs.telerik.com/fiddler-everywhere/get-started/configuration I tried to activate "Live Capturing".


As soon as the capture is ON, Internet is down :( I checked the following:

  • Root certificate is authorized
  • Capture HTTPs traffic is checked
  • Web Proxy setting is 127.0.0.1:8866
  • Secure Web Proxy setting is 127.0.0.1:8866

Can you help me make it work?

So I reinstalled Fiddler and now I can see that the proxy is correctly set at startup, and also correctly removed when I quit the app

Is your default network adapter using some 3rd-party proxy to provide an Internet connection? Are there any other networking tools that are working alongside Fiddler Everywhere, like VPN software? You could attach the Fiddler Everywhere log files (available from Help > Open Application Logs Folder or alternatively manually as shown here) in which the above information should be present.
